Kick off for this festival, which is held in Borris House, Borris, Co. Carlow, takes place at 6pm on the 09th of May. You will be treated to an array of different arts starting with an exhibition of paintings by Alan Davie’s, followed by a piano/cello concert, where you can enjoy Beethoven etc. being performed by Thomas Demenga and Anton Kernjak.
The duo Homburger/Guy will perform works by Biber and Kurtag and there is also an “a capella” concert by the Calmus Ensemble.
Any Samuel Beckett fans out there? Check out the HEXENTRIO (Paul Plimley, Barry Guy and Lucas Niggli) on Saturday night.
Sunday will boast a piano trio recital (Beethoven and Schubert), followed by Barry McGovern reading Beckett, Flann O’Brien and James Joyce.
And finishing off on Sunday night you can enjoy the performance of Camerata Kilkenny and the Calmus Ensemble.
